Clarity in the Storm
Reflections, community voices, and curated recommendations in pursuit of clarity
This month cost me more than I bargained for—financially, physically, and mentally. But it served as a powerful reminder: mindset defines meaning.
I’m grateful for this month. Between dental procedures that have completely drained my pockets and left me dry, my mind still managed to find the silver lining. It’s like they always say about perspective: “It’s not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters.”
I’ve made some changes to the page. I’ve activated paid subscriptions, so feel free to drop a little something in the tip jar (hahaha). I’m joking... but I’m serious.
Truly, thank you to everyone who supports this space. It exists for you and because of you. This place isn’t just sustained by what I write—it lives through those of you I read, too.
Now, here are this month’s recommendations:
Standing tall and proud,
Its branches reach as far as they can,
Claiming space,
A shelter built for many.
At its foot, a small bench—
Long enough so you’re never truly alone.
A cool escape, draped in soft nostalgia,
Where you can watch time slow down,
Enough to notice the quiet things,
The “insignificant” moments that mean everything.
Like a Great Tree in the middle of a blazing desert,
AsukaHotaru’s publication offers refuge and rest—
A place where time slows,
Where simple gestures regain their weight,
And where just being is enough.
She lived it.
She saw it.
She overcame it.
And then, she named it.
In her declaration of independence,
A voice forged in experience—
A scout clearing the path
For those coming next.
Clear words,
Unveiling what our hearts keep quiet
And what the world struggles to accept.
Dipti Vyas’ publication
Untangles the storms within,
Offering a compass
To those seeking to understand themselves—
Freely.
A giant unaware of her own scale—
or perhaps, just sleeping.
Dressed in a quiet humility.
A friendly presence,
like a soft warmth,
a rare privilege in the dead of winter.
A passionate voice—
full of faith,
simple joys,
and time savored
without being rushed.
Like a seed
that doesn’t argue with the soil.
Encouraging.
Direct.
Clear.
anna is the kind of person
you want in your corner—
on the ring
of a life that moves too fast.
A tender light—
bright enough to guide,
but never enough to burn.
A voice full of wonder,
recounting what truly matters:
“memoria”—memory,
family,
peace,
and the invisible threads between us.
Compassion and resilience—
a fighter with a glowing heart.
Her stories unlock a sense of awe
while staying firmly rooted
in human truth.
A refuge for those
who want to dream
without escaping reality.
If you’re looking for
the mindset to go the distance,
If the silence
has ever left you discouraged,
Derek Hughes offers
practical reflections
on consistency,
confidence,
and effort.
Words meant for building,
not just for feeling.
A voice centered
on resilience
and the grit to keep going.
Writing
isn’t just about posting every day.
Consistency matters.
But without a system,
creativity runs dry.
Focus scatters.
Burnout looms.
The blank page returns.
Godfrey Jumma offers
a different path:
Building systems
that regulate creation,
simplify the process,
and sustain consistency.
Less chaos.
More structure.
Having a system
means writing
with a clearer mind.
The White Rabbit Poetry Society—
a space created by Dorie
to welcome
and lift up
poetic voices.
An open sanctuary
where anyone can leave their words.
It celebrates
the beauty of writing,
the depth of a verse,
and the diversity of voices.
A relay station—
where a poem doesn’t stay isolated,
it travels.
If you write poetry,
this space can become
yours.
Alongside Brooklyn,
Dorie helps these voices circulate—
reaching those who seek
what is true,
and what is deep.
Dorie Snow/雪多丽 / Brooklyn Crane
She writes
where the silence lingers.
Healing.
Depression.
Vulnerability, unfiltered.
A mirror for those
trying to understand themselves—
and rebuild.
With a perspective rooted in psychology,
she explores the journey back to self.
She also shares
the reality of freelance life:
building, monetizing,
without the fluff.
And away from the noise of social media,
her words reach you
in the quiet of an inbox.
He writes without a filter.
Human psychology.
Obsessions.
Relationships stripped of their polish.
A voice that says
what others dance around.
Around him,
a kind of open classroom takes shape—
learning to write,
exchanging ideas,
breaking the isolation.
He connects.
He amplifies.
He breaks down the mechanics of the platform
without romanticizing them.
And at the heart of it all,
a visceral fiction—
urban poetry,
raw realism.
A voice that speaks to whatever is living
somewhere deep inside.
She writes about healing
like rewriting a story long-whispered.
Old traumas,
rejection,
boundaries learned late—she erases nothing.
She guides.
Her words invite you to meet others
from a place of fullness, not lack.
Regulating the body.
Listening to the nervous system.
Learning to receive without closing off.
She gently reminds us that vulnerability
isn’t a flaw—it’s a doorway.
A space for those who want to drop the armor
and move forward with more self-kindness.

The Mirror Room is now home to 200+ souls.
My goal is to reach 300+ by the end of the month.
But numbers aren’t what matters most.
This space is dedicated to clarity before direction.
And that will never change.
May this month of March be fruitful for each and every one of us!
With clarity,
The Mirror Room
Odel A.

Odel you are one of the most compassionate and kind humans I have met here, I feel your energies, I feel the love and warmth you offer everyone. Humility shines through you.
But you are also a deep feeler, a passionate and extremely gifted poet, I have always admired you and I am so grateful to connect with you here ♥️🙏🏼
Urban poetry stopped me for a minute.
I've said street writer.
I like your version more.
Also, thank you so much. I'm truly touched.
