this is so beautiful. i love how it reads like both a lament and a battle cry. thank you for sharing something that feels both deeply personal and universally human.
Beautiful - I love it when writers share their poetry on here, all the more when it's not what they usually share! I think it's one of the best things about the platform, that we have that flexibility of form and expression.
Thank you for sharing
Thanks to you for reading it 🥰
I have felt like this much of my life.
I was particularly shaken by these lines,
"My faithful tormentor: invisibility.
They see me, but never truly see."
You have a genuine striking way with words.
Thanks for your kind words.
I’ve felt this so many times too in my life. People looking at you but seeing your brother, father, country instead… anything but you.
So at the end, we gotta see us for ourselves.
Thanks for sharing from the depths of who you are, Odel.
This is why poetry is so wonderful.
Thanks for your kind words, Órla ☺️🥰

Thank you so much for reading this and sharing your thoughts!
At some point of our lives, we suffer the weight of the world expectations.
We stand for ourselves!

Thank you for reading it and share your thoughts ! I truly appreciate it.
Indeed, Substack gives us all this freedom. I like that.
I hesitated at the beginning and I recall the core belief of my life, my newsletter is the freedom to be oneself.
And this poetry is like a closure for my current topic !
