I thought I had found love,
when all along I was nothing more than the chosen of the vultures.
It's absurd.
Almost impossible not to laugh at it.
Better to laugh,
to savor the madness.
How could I have believed
I had grown wise
after so many shipwrecks?
How could I have thought
I had bent beneath my law
that untamed force
that has brought down kings?
What arrogance!
I paid the price
of my ignorance.
Perhaps another low blow
from Providence,
a reminder
to return to humility.
Yes, I thought I had found love,
when all along I had been thrown
to the vultures.
J'avais cru trouver l'amour
J'avais cru trouver l'amour,
fallait qu'on me rappelle à la décence !
Oui, j'avais cru trouver l'amour,
Just something that I wrote this week. The mirror question is: can we really understand love even after many experiences? Can we truly understand the human’s heart ?

Great poem, Odel! 🫂🫂
I think we can eventually understand love. Healing is part of what helps lead us to understand and recognize healthy love.
