Avoidant personalities have always confounded me, so I'd love to give this poem's advice to those affected in such a manner. But it's hard for anyone to take anything from me. Instinct cuts deep — and severely circumscribes our abilities to live, unless we learn to embrace the "in between." This is where the truly authentic experiences are to be had.
She's like this in real life too! Don't get on her bad side, or she'll make you a character in a boy-band fanfic! Seriously, she's a superlative poet, far more adept at unearthing and articulating heart-wrenching emotions than I am, with real depth and gravitas, and a kind, funny soul.
