Parthenogenesis: A Strange Word, A Simple Truth
What if some answers could only be born within ourselves?
A Curious Discovery
Do you know what parthenogenesis is?
I just learned about it recently on the internet. By definition, it’s a process that allows a small group of animals to reproduce on their own. Wild, right? The females literally reproduce by themselves, with no need for a male.
At school, we learned that flowers can self-pollinate — but finding out that some animals can do it too really surprised me. We learn new things every day, but as Ecclesiastes says: “There is nothing new under the sun.”
What If It Applies to Us?
And that got me thinking about humans.
What if this phenomenon applies to us too? — not for reproduction, of course — but in a deeper sense. For existing. For becoming who we are.
The Answers We Seek
When we have a problem, when we feel lost, we tend to look outside ourselves. We look for answers from others. And so often, what do we hear in the end?
“The answer is within you.”
And it’s true. Because some answers, no matter how important they are, can only come from within.
Someone else’s answer might be beautiful, profound, sincere… but it can’t save us. Because it doesn’t belong to us.
The Omelette Metaphor
Imagine asking a group of people:
“What’s the recipe for the perfect omelette?”
You’d get dozens of answers. Some similar, some completely different. But is there really one true answer? Of course not.
And we should never believe there is.
Because every recipe is the perfect omelette for its creator — and that’s what counts.
Big Questions, Personal Truths
It’s the same for the big questions:
What’s the true meaning of life?
What is love?
How do you love well?
How do you find happiness?
What is the perfect home? The perfect career?
And what does wealth mean?
Every time, we circle back to ourselves.
Life means what I decide it means.
Love is what I choose it to be.
Freedom, normality, success — even a simple omelette — it all starts with me.
Who can tell me what my favorite color should be?
Who can tell me exactly how to be happy?
No one. Not even an expert.
Mirrors, Not Answers
Willingly or not, we shape our own reality.
When we ask questions of others, what they really do is hold up a mirror. They don’t give us the answer.
They bounce the question back.
Sometimes they offer clues. But never an absolute truth.
Because — as simple as it sounds — we are the answers to our own questions.
Simple ≠ Easy
But here’s the twist:
The simplest things are often the hardest.
Just because the answer is inside me doesn’t mean I know how to find it.
Just because it’s simple doesn’t make it easy.
Forgiving, for example, is easy to say. But it demands huge courage. And the self — it’s impressionable, sometimes fragile, often confused.
Welcome to The Mirror Room
I’m not a psychologist, or a philosopher, or a great writer. I’m just an ordinary person — maybe your neighbor, your coworker, someone you’ve passed on the street. A curious soul, trying to understand. To live more consciously.
That’s why I created The Mirror Room — not as a place, but as a perspective. A quiet space between a question and its answer. A space to pause, reflect, and return to what we truly believe — not what we’ve been told to believe.
In here, nothing is imposed. Everything is offered.
The words I share aren’t answers. They’re mirrors. Each reflection comes from my own experience, but it’s written with you in mind — because I believe that sometimes, the mirror doesn’t show us something new… it just helps us see more clearly.
You might not agree with everything, and that’s okay. The Mirror Room welcomes every mind, questions every truth, and leaves space for silence.
My only hope is that somewhere in this space, you begin to recognize your own voice again.
We don’t have to figure it all out at once — we just have to begin.
Let’s Start Simple
So, to start gently:
What’s your favorite moment of the day — and why?
Hit comment and tell me — I’d love to hear it.

PS: If this spoke to you, share it with someone who’d love to see themselves in this mirror too.

Your reflection is lovely to read and brings hope to the reader. It can be disheartening to think that we are to be how the world tells us to be when only we know what brings us joy, peace and fulfillment.
