We Built the Light
What if love doesn’t give your life meaning — but teaches you how to live it? A reflection on companionship, co-creation, and the strength of building light together.
We Built the Light
I was searching for meaning in my life, the way one searches for a lighthouse in the night, and I found you— you. No, no, no— you did not give my life meaning. You showed me how to fully inhabit it. I was searching for shelter, the way one looks for a cellar in a storm, and you appeared— you. No, no, no— you did not give me shelter. You kept me company. And together, we searched. Together, we found. Together, we built our makeshift fortress.

The lighthouse in the night image made me laugh a little because it felt so honest and a bit desperate in a... cute way~
This poem beautifully captures the essence of finding meaning and companionship in life. It highlights the journey of discovering oneself and building a life together, rather than seeking external validation. A truly inspiring piece!
