What a great collection of possibilities for a better future and better now Odel.
To your almost last question - Would life be better? Maybe we should at least try to make it better by giving this an attempt.
One idea at a time, per day; smile at a stranger (not in a weird way!), help someone without needing, give space to listen to someone without thinking about your own next words, etc.
Through little things, big changes can happen over time.
I couldn’t agree more with you. On little action at a time. Sometimes we may think they are insignificant but they are so powerful. It feels good when we are heard, seen… Little actions, big impacts.
Thank you @Mark Crutchfield for your thoughtful comment. Greatly appreciated
Excellent writing Odel. It feels especially relevant and apt, given where we are in the world (and even just on Substack at times, lately).
Being better and more compassionate to each other is something that is there and possible, it is that willingness and taking those steps to get there, which is, much of the time, the action missing in reaching that.
This was beautifully written. Those "what if's" are what I pray for in my relationship. One where we are fully ourselves, seen, heard, accepted. We may not fully understand everything, but that presence, patience and acceptance make a huge difference. There will still be moments where conflicts may arise, but the relationship would be better. We would face them together, not letting wounds expand, but rather suture them with care, patience and love.

I’d say I loved it… but i’m currently in my “men are suspicious” era.
So ill settle for: it’s good:)
Thank you, Nikita.
Actually the comment made me smile a little and wondering “what does “men are suspicious era” have to do with the poem 😀?
But I’m happy you found it good and that’s greatly appreciated
haha it has nothing to do with the poem 😄
just my current lens while reading anything written by a man…
but yours survived it💯
I should be lucky then 😀. Thank you, dear one
I don’t blame you
We men are devious species

Thank you Gary.
Indeed each of them can be possible if we dare to do what is necessary for that. That’s where things got complicated
Sometimes our life sounds like a collection of "what if's"... this is a piece worth reading.
Indeed !
Thank you for your kind words. Greatly appreciated
Thank you for writing:)

Thanks for reading and for your thoughtful comment. Greatly appreciated !
I believe there should be at least one person to make that possible
Odel, thank you for showing us that a better world is out there. We just have to be willing to reach for it. Beautiful poem!
Thank you @Nabanita. And you’re right, the will to reach it is the harder part
Simply, this is perfectly written! ❤️
Thank you @feelingsundefined. Greatly appreciated
