A reflective essay on love, loss, and emotional maturity. This second reflection explores the painful truth that loving someone also means accepting the possibility of losing them — even when you do everything right. A meditation on fear, attachment, freedom, and the courage to let go with dignity.
What a beautiful reflection on love, my friend. I resonate with hoping for someone’s ultimate good and happiness, even if we are no longer a part of their life. You described the selfless essence of unconditional love. Inspiring. Thank you.
Relationships are complex. Sometimes we are just not in the right mental/emotional space to navigate love. I've been there and it's hard. There's no sugarcoating it. Letting someone go can sometimes be the most loving thing to do if something is not working and you can't resolve it together.
We will always love them and can pray for them. And who knows how God will work. One day, a sweet friendship might emerge from it when the wounds have been healed. If not, that's okay too. 💫
Okay, this feels like someone finally saying the hard love thing out loud instead of hiding it behind pretty words... It’s gentle, honest, and brave in that quiet way that doesn’t try to win... T_T
Thank you for sharing this, Odel. This is a beautiful piece.vWhen you truly love someone, you want them to be happy, with or without you.
You’re welcome. Glad it resonates with you and thank you for sharing it ☺️
This is absolutely beautiful
Thank you, Aaliya !
For me, loss in love is not about letting someone go, but being afraid to hold on to possibility.
that's an interesting perspective. Love as life is full of possibilities

Thank you, Luna. Your words are always inspiring and motivating.
Talking about unconditional love, that gave an idea. I'll leave a message on your DM, with your permission, for sure.
Thanks. And sure.

I couldn't agree more. Thank you, Órla !
You're welcome, Odel.
In my case, by letting go, we preserved the love for if we had tried and it became dysfunctional, we may have tarnished the love.
Let go can be the most healthy way to preserve ourselves and the loved ones sometimes.
Yes, we preserve ourselves also.

yeah, it's okay. no matter the outcome, it's gonna be okay.
